With the UK preparing to welcome more people as they leave Ukraine, we are preparing to offer increased language support, so we are hiring for even more Ukrainian to English interpreters and translators.

We are working with charities, the NHS, local councils, and host families to make sure that the Ukrainian families and individuals, who have already been through so much, get access to the support they need.

By working with us as an interpreter or translator, you can make a real difference by supporting people during their transition to life in the UK.

Main Purpose of The Role

Word360 are looking for linguists with a real interest in making a positive difference and who feel confident in making Ukrainian people heard during key appointments.

We are looking for professional interpreters who can fluently speak English and Ukrainian for appointments which will be in-person or remote dependent on your availability and location.

Responsibility

As a professional interpreter, you will:

  • Interpret bilingually for a number of professional clients in-person, online or by phone.
  • Adhere to our strict interpreting code of ethics as set by the Chartered Institute of Linguists.
  • Work in a professional manner and provide an accurate, impartial and confidential service.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Speak Ukrainian and English FLUENTLY. 
  • Possess excellent communication, language and organisation skills.
  • Be confident, enthusiastic and have a professional attitude.

As a professional translator, you will:

  • Possess all the above qualities expected of an interpreter.
  • Convert documents from English to Ukrainian, or vice versa.
  • Possess the ability to understand technical information (e.g. medical reports) and explain it clearly through simple text.
  • Build relationships with clients and have the ability to ask the right questions.

Requirements 

To qualify for this position you will need:

  • To be eligible to be self-employed in the UK and have the right to work.
  • Have competent IT skills to access our Wordskii platform and email correspondences.

There is no fee to register with us. However, if you don’t already have one, you will need to apply for an enhanced DBS security certificate; a universal document that applies to you personally. Our fantastic customer service team can advise you further on this if needed.
