Word360 has been appointed to the NHS Shared Business Services Interpretation and Translation Services Framework (SBS10519). This milestone strengthens our commitment to equitable healthcare, giving NHS and public-sector organisations simpler access to high-quality interpreting and translation services that remove communication barriers and improve patient experience across every care setting.

We’re excited to share that Word360 has been appointed to the NHS Shared Business Services (SBS) Interpretation and Translation Services Framework (SBS10519). It’s an important step in our mission to make sure every patient can access safe, informed and equitable care, no matter their language or communication need.

Supporting better access for all

Good care starts with good communication. Too many people still struggle to understand treatment, navigate appointments, or make informed choices simply because language gets in the way. By joining this framework, we’re strengthening our ability to help NHS organisations remove those barriers and improve patient experience across all care settings.

The framework gives NHS and public-sector teams easy access to:

  • Face-to-face interpreting
  • British Sign Language
  • Telephone & Video interpreting
  • Document translation
  • Flexible, modular service options

As NHS SBS put it, the framework allows customers to tailor their procurement to specific needs while offering the flexibility to consolidate services under a single provider.” This approach makes it simpler for organisations to get the right support, first time.

Why this matters for the NHS

This framework supports national priorities around safety, inclusion and health equity. It gives providers quicker access to high-quality language services that help reduce delays, improve clinical understanding and support better outcomes for patients.

What we’ll bring to partners

We combine people, technology and experience to make communication clearer across healthcare. Whether it’s rapid access to remote interpreters through our award-winning technology: Wordskii, high-quality in-person support or specialist BSL services, our focus is always the same: helping clinicians deliver safer, more inclusive care.

As our CCO, Kavita Parmer, says: “Ensuring that patients can communicate confidently with their care teams is fundamental to reducing inequalities and improving outcomes.”

Looking ahead

Joining SBS10519 strengthens our ability to collaborate with NHS partners across the UK. We’re committed to delivering innovative, data-driven and accessible language services that support more equitable healthcare and better patient experiences.
